Not a list of favorites, but a few that use the iPhone’s sensors effectively:
Dr. Awesome – Tilt the phone to control an otherwise humdrum game.
RedLaser – uses the camera as a UPC barcode scanner for comparison shopping, food allergy data.
Snap ‘n Tap – Draw a maze on paper, take a photo of it then bounce a virtual ball around in it. Free-form fun.
Pocket God – My all-time favorite iPhone game just keeps on delivering new and twisted fun. It has a few different interesting uses of the accelerometer for gameplay.
ToonPAINT - Turning photos into cartoons.
PS: the RunKeeper app is a good use of the GPS sensor. And the Star Wars light saber app is the best use of the accelerometer I’ve seen so far.
